A Spring Baby for Kate Middleton and Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince WilliamWhile just about everyone in the world now knows that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are expecting a second child, her due date had not been released until today. According to a Kensington Palace spokesperson, the little bundle of joy will be born sometime in April.

Just as she did during her first pregnancy with Prince George, Kate has suffered a rare form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum. As a result, she has experienced extreme bouts of morning sickness. In fact, her condition with this second pregnancy has been worse than with her first pregnancy, forcing her to sit out of numerous royal responsibilities while her husband, Prince William takes her place.

Over the past month, rumors have circulated that Kate is expecting twins but from the official announcement made today, that is not the case. Palace officials also confirm that 32-year-old Kate’s health is beginning to improve although it is a slow process.

According to the spokesperson, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they are often referred are scheduled to attend a welcoming party this week for Singapore’s President, Tony Tan. Also on the schedule is an award ceremony in which Kate is supposed to honor the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2014 at the London Natural History Museum. However, no formal announcement has been made whether she will be able to attend one or both of these events.

Once the couple’s second child is born this coming April, he or she will fall fourth in line of the Royal’s pecking order, just behind big brother Prince George but ahead of Prince William’s younger brother, Prince Harry.

Several news reporters have tried in vain to gather information pertaining to the gender of the child but in true Royal fashion, no information is being released.
