Celebrity Dermatologist Fredric Brandt Committed Suicide

Dr. Fredric Brandt, 65-year-old, was found dead Sunday morning approximately 9:20 a.m. at his home in Coconut Grove, Miami. Officer Frederica Burden ,The City of Miami Police, “We can confirm the death was a suicide by hanging. The death is not suspicious, and as soon as the Medical Examiner confirms the suicide we will close the case.”

Jacquie Trachtenberg, Brandt”s publicist, told page six “He passed away this morning. He was suffering from an illness. Everyone who knows him is devastated… I worked with him for over 20 years and he was an amazing man, not only was he a brilliant doctor, but he was the kindest human being.”

Dr.Brant was “deeply hurt” by Tina Fey making of his appearance on the Netflix show “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”. “The show definitely deeply hurt him, he was being made fun of because of the way he looks” –said the publicist who added “It is mean, and it was bullying. But the show was not the reason for his depression, and it was not the reason he would take his own life.”

On the comedy series,Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Dr.Brant had platinum blonde hair, cinereous skin, and an grey complexion.

Dr. Fredric Brandt was the famous American dermatologist treated many stars including Madonna, Kelly Ripa, Demi Moore, Stephanie Seymour and Jane Holzer. Fredric hosted a radio show named ask Dr.Fredric on SirusXM Radio called “Baron of Botox”.

Fredric completed his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College and completed an internal medicine residency at New York University and at last followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Miami. Finally set up his own practice in Miami in 1982 afterward at New York City in 1998.

Dr. Fredric Brandt wrote two books: one is “10 Minutes/10 Years: Your Definitive Guide to a Beautiful and Youthful Appearance. New York: Free Press. (2007)” and the other is “Age-less: The Definitive Guide to Botox, Collagen, Lasers, Peels, and Other Solutions for Flawless Skin. With Patricia Reynoso. New York: William Morrow. (2002).”
