In an interview, Sophie Turner said, ‘if you’re on Game of Thrones and you don’t have a cool death scene, then what’s the point?’
She told the WSJ’s Cafe magazine, ‘The past five seasons have been everyone stretched out and going their separate ways and it’s very rare.’
The actress also teased the upcoming sixth season of the HBO series, premiering on April 24. She said, ‘Season 6 feels like everything is coming together and storylines intertwining and people are forming alliances with other characters and everyone is coming towards the same goal.’
The last moments of season 5 had Sansa jumping off the walls of Castle Black with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), and no one really knew whether she survived or not.
However, in the WSJ interview, Turner confirmed she landed in a pile of snow.
Game of Throne has always built itself as a chain capable of offing its leads at any moment, even if the audience seems to reject certain deaths too harsh to be true.
Game of Thrones stars have gotten reasonably good when it comes to keeping spoilers, but Turner confirmed that Sansa would survive Season 6, saying “I’m flicking through, like, death, death, death, death, death … Okay, I’m good for this season.”
Game of Thrones fans still don’t worry because Sansa won’t be leaving Westeros any time soon and instead will be ‘taking charge and being a leader’.
