“The Bachelor” – Farmer Chris Soules Will Steal the Spotlight

chris-soulesWith the exception of a few men who have starred as the bachelor on the television reality show with the same name, most have been high-profile, GQ, or millionaire types. This year, the show is switching things up by bringing back a fan favorite, Chris Soules. Unlike most other bachelors, Soules is a farmer from Lamont, Iowa. However, viewers should not dismiss him as a great candidate. After all, he is handsome, extremely successful, and chivalrous.

While on the Andi Dorfman season of The Bachelorette, Soules tried to win her heart but at the end, he was sent packing while Dorfman rode off into the sunset with a former professional baseball player. However, Soules left a huge impression on both men and women around the country for being level-headed, fair, honest, romantic, and an all-around “good catch”.

Soules studied agronomy and agriculture at Iowa State University and using his education and knowledge, expanded the family farm, which according to insiders is said to be a multi-million dollar operation. While Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from Emily Maynard’s season was said to be a possible candidate for the upcoming Bachelor, it was Soules, the runner-up in this past season that stole American’s hearts.

At 32 years of age, Soules now has an opportunity to be the main star on the 19th season of The Bachelor, scheduled to air sometime next year on ABC. The announcement was made on Good Morning American during a segment involving Soules. As the appointed next bachelor, Soules reaction says it all, “humbled, flattered, and grateful”.

Being from a very small farming town, something like this happening never crossed his mind but he is hopeful that this time around, he will finally be able to fall in love and at the end, get down on one knee with a marriage proposal to the perfect woman.
