USA Renewed Mr. Robot for Season 3


Great news! Mr. Robot has been renewed for Season 3 announced by USA on August 16, 2016. The new season set to air in 2017, but the number of episodes is still unreleased.

The Drama Series produced by Universal Cable Productions has received critical applause for it’s second season and has been nominated multiple awards winning a Peabody Award, two Emmy nominations and Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series at the 2016 ceremony. On the ratings front, Season 2 has dropped 20 percent viewer for Mr. Robot but the hacker drama grabbed a million viewers and a 0.3 demo rating in Nielsen’s live-plus-same-day ratings.

“We couldn’t be more proud of ‘Mr. Robot,’ a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist, and been honored as one of the best dramas on television,” Chris McCumber, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment president, said in a statement. “Midway through its second season, ‘Mr. Robot’ continues to break new ground and open up new opportunities for the network.”

Sam Esmail, creator of the television series Mr. Robot, made an impressive debut by extracting 20 pages of around 89 pages of the script which resulted a 10-episode featured film with USA Network. Moreover, the production was renewed for a second season of Mr. Robot on June 24, 2015. It made various critics’ list for the best TV shows of 2015.

Jeff Wachtel, UCP president and NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment chief content officer, said Hollywood, “Sam and company just keep taking it to another level. We can’t wait to get going on Season 3…as soon as we finish Season 2!”
